Wisconsin Regional Digital Organizer

 

The National Redistricting Action Fund, an affiliate of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee seeks a Regional Digital Organizer. The Regional Digital Organizer will directly employ organizing tools and tactics to implement All On The Line’s goals to raise awareness about the harmful impact gerrymandering has on policymaking, to encourage participation in activities that defend democratic ideals, and to increase grassroots engagement in every step of the redistricting process. Individuals in the role will work towards explicit goals by organizing primarily geographically or constituency-focused communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute All On The Line state strategy at the most local level by organizing, educating, training and coaching the public preparing volunteers for the redistricting process

  • Train volunteers to use digital tools to engage with their elected officials

  • Directly use organizing tools and tactics to influence the passage of fair maps

  • Coordinate work with specific partner groups and communities of interests, varying by need and state

  • Communicate All On The Line’s strategy with large groups of the public including partner groups and grassroots volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience working in and building relationships in diverse communities in Wisconsin, especially with communities of color and tribal communities

  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems quickly

  • Responsive, responsible communicator especially in rapidly evolving scenarios

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience using social media tools and metrics

  • A good sense of humor and a strong commitment to making the world a better place

  • Fluency in Spanish not required but highly valued

  • Attention to detail a must

  • Other duties as needed

Salary will be commensurate with experience. NRAF offers a generous benefits package, including health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holiday schedules.
